The Gorget is a metal collar worn around the throat and an essential part of body armour providing protection to the throat and the neck. It later in the 18th century became a popular ornamental piece of the military dress. This metal gorget has leather strap to fasten around the neck around to the size. It is completely wearable and can be used for costume dressing or reenactment purposes.
