Axes and Polearms
Battle axes, tomahawks, polearms and their like have been used in many cultures around the world and over many centuries as weapons and as tools. Ranging in size from the diminutive hawks and throwing axes designed to be carried and used in bulk to the massive two-handed versions wielded by burly warriors, their potential usage outside the field of battle made axes and hammers more plentiful in many armies than more dedicated swords and other weapons.
