Early 6th century AD most commonly use by the Viking Age Scandinavians. The bearded axe was used as a tool (for shaving or planning wood) and weapon (to pull a weapon or shield out of a defender's grasp).
Our Axe has leather strapping on the handle to aid in grip and aesthetics.
The axe head is cast - not tempered.
