Sabres

A sabre is a type of curved sword which became popular in Western Europe after being introduced by forces from Eastern Europe in Medieval ages. It was particularly prevalent during the Napoleonic wars through to the late 17th Century. Sabres continued to be issued to cavalry in the US until 1913 and the last sabres issued to regular troops were to Polish cavalry in 1934.
